Very humble, very good talk. Thanks for sharing the Word on this topic. Very timely, too.
Amen
Looks Good Dan!
I found your talk timely, as I did vote for Obama, but felt very strange, and maybe even regret as I saw the reaction and adulation of the many people not only here in the U.S., but across the globe. It made me see how “the last days” could play out in God’s plans, so as to be both exciting and chilling.
As you’ve said, this man has been ordained by God to be the leader of this country. If he is somehow part of God’s plan to bring in the final moments of this eon, then there is nothing we could do to change it. Jesus had to have Judas betray him, or else prophecy would not be fulfilled.
I think it is just humbling to recognize that the only true source of peace lies in God and not in man, but sadly many of us just don’t understand that.
Thanks for bringing the discussion up to a higher, spiritual level, based on the written word of God.
You stated on your audio that one must believe inorder to be saved. So what happens to this one who is unable to jump the hurdle to cause oneself to believe?
This is an answer for John Halbert’s question.
I think Dan was refering to being “saved” to eonian life. Since Christ Jesus’ sacrifice was for the salvation of all, we must distinguish those who were chosen to believe by God during this life and those who can’t believe now because God hasn’t chosen them as members of the body of Christ.
This choosing is completely God’s doing and is not “exclusionary” in its nature.
Just as God chose Abraham to bless all the nations on the earth, He’s choosing a few to believe now to bless the celestial powers and authorities in the future.
The Apostle Paul makes it clear that at the consumation of the eons God will be all in all. That means when the last enemy is destroyed (death), every knee will bow and every tongue acclaim, that Jesus Christ is Lord. The middle voice is used in that passage of Philippians. That means they will do this acclaiming of thier own accord. They will have been convinced in thier heart of God’s love for them. So, even if you can’t make the “leap” of belief in this life, God still loves you, His Son still paid the price to save you, and He will save you! That’s a God of love! Amen.

This is in response to Lee Schneidermann’s response to John Halbert. Thank you Lee! I’ve rarely seen this so beautifully, and simply put. Sometimes the spoken word is easily misconstrued if a phrase isn’t turned just so. But there is no mistaking the truth in your eloquent explanation to those “grounded and rooted” thanks to a gracious God. Grace and peace to you, friend.
