Audio message: Christ our Surety
What happens when you die as a Christian? Is it like the storybooks say, or is it like the Bible says? As Christians we do not speak in the language of Scripture when it comes to this most serious and vital subject. As Christians we have a hope of resurrection! Christ Jesus was the firstfruits of that resurrection - a promise of a coming harvest to come. But are we robbing that promise today by inaccurate teaching?
Recorded from our live Unsearchable Riches program of 07/25/07 with Dan Sheridan, Tom Dell'Aringa and special guest Martin Zender. This is the beginning of our special "The Savior of All Mankind" series. The subject? Is Christ greater than Adam? Did Adam's sin effect the whole human race while Christ's death and resurrection only effect some?
In this second live show from our "Unsearchable Riches" radio program, Dan Sheridan and Martin Zender continue their look into Christ as the Savior of all Mankind. The theme for this show is Christ Triumphant. Has Christ truly conquered ALL sin, or just SOME sin?
Will death ever be vanquished, or will death conquer some and not others? What is the teaching on this vital issue from the Scriptures?
The book of Ephesians presents the most mature truths for Christians. It speaks of spiritual blessings in heavenly places, not earthly in terrestrial places. However it speaks of those blessings as things already given to us through Christ by God the Father.
Listen to the show that got us thrown off Christian radio. Who better to turn to for an answer than Bob Larson, author of Larson's New Book of Cults. Bob lists out various behaviors that cults exhibit and perform. How many of these traits do modern Christian churches exhibit? The answer might just surprise you. This was the last Unsearchable Riches radio show, we were immediately canceled from WYLL after this broadcast.
We continue our study in Ephesians, which is the "magna carta" of the church. Paul writes this important letter from prison, and we look at the topics that the Prisoner of the Lord introduces in this wonderful book.
In this message we begin with chapter 1, where we have Paul immediately establishing his Apostleship. It's important to understand why he felt the need to do so. We discuss that Paul had a unique message, differing from that of the twelve.
Before Paul exhorts us in Ephesians chapter 4 to walk worthy, he first explains the teaching about that calling. We cannot have a proper walk without the proper teaching. In this installment of our study in Ephesians, we'll touch on "shut up and sing," why Paul is the only one who says he is an apostle by the will of God, Christ Jesus vs. Jesus Christ, Saints and Believers in Christ Jesus and transcendent truths.
We continue with chapter 1 in Ephesians, giving an overview of verses 3-14 - the charter of the Ecclesia - which is His body. Here we see God achieving great things, and all we can do is applaud Him for His trancendant grace. We'll see that the Father has a purpose, and the Son fulfills that purpose.
"Speak well of the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." In this message we explore prayer, the unique relationship of the Lord Jesus Christ with His God and Father, the unique blessings of the ecclesia and the real meaning of "spiritual blessings."
In this message we discuss the unique time frame that corresponds to the blessings of God's ecclesia; we also discuss holiness and flawlessness. Did you know that we are holy and flawless in God's sight? Wait until you find out how God does this! You will applaud!
We are loved and flawless from before the disruption of the world as Christ! Could this be true? There is a kindred in heaven and on earth. Find out where we belong in God's family.
As those in Christ we have been highly favored in the beloved, we have been placed in a position as the Body of Christ above all of the redeemed throughout history. Why? God did it according to His own will, originating from His own heart, to the laud of his Glory. When we hear this, we applaud God for his Glory!
This was a message given by Dan at the Kentucky Bible Conference on September 9, 2007 covering: aged and satisfied; it's not how you start, but how you finish a race; baggy shorts hinder the wrestler; Josiah and us; crossing the finish line.
Why didn't we just skip over all this sin and evil? We didn't achieve ANYTHING! Salvation is not a bargain. Shut that stupid phone off. Deliverance through His blood. Forgiveness. The difference between Israel's temporary pardon and our justification.
The gospel message is NOT about forgiveness! There are two aspects of deliverance and we are as saved now as we will be when we get to heaven. We examine the riches of His grace, how God delights to pour out His treasures and that Abraham learned God's secrets. We learn that simple things means childish.
