Bible Minute: Look to the Son of God

In Galatians 2:20 Paul says that the life he lived in the flesh, he lived by the faith of the Son of God who loved him, and gave himself for him. Paul does not say faith IN the Son of God, but the faith OF the Son of God. Paul did not live by faith in his ability to please God, but he lived knowing that Christ has pleased God already. What rest of heart for those of us who have tried to please God and failed. Paul is saying that we do not live by our own ability to keep God’s law, but we live by the faithfulness of the one who has pleased the Father in all things. Our Lord not only conquered death, but He also conquered life! A holy life, is a life lived with the eye on Christ, not lamenting our sin and failure. Look to the Son of God.
