Bible Minute: Faith - Taking God at His Word

In Genesis we read that Lord counted Abrams faith for righteousness. This was a very simple transaction. God asked Abram to count the stars, and Abram said as it were, I can’t. So God said to Abram, you’ll have so many children you won’t be able to count them. And Abram believed what God said, and God counted that faith as righteousness. Faith is taking God at his word. When someone tells us something, we don’t say “I am trying to believe you.” Unless that person is prone to lying. But God says that he will count you righteous if you believe in Jesus Christ. Just like Abram couldn’t produce children, neither can you produce righteousness. So God will do it for you. Do you Believe God?
